যেমন ঝরনা নদীতে মেশে
আর নদী সাগরে মেশে
স্বর্গের বাতাস এক সুমধুর
ভাবনায় মিশে যায়;
এই পৃথিবীতে কিছুই একা নয়
এক ঐশ্বরিক নিয়মানুযায়ী
সব কিছুই অন্যের সাথে সংযুক্ত —
তবে কেন আমি তোমাতে মিশে যাই না ?
চেয়ে দেখো, পর্বতমালা স্বর্গকে চুম্বন করে
জলের ঢেউ একে অপরকে আঁকড়ে থাকে;
সুর্য্যের আলো পৃথিবীকে ছুঁয়ে থাকে,
আর চাঁদের আলো সমুদ্রকে চুম্বন করে,
যদি এই সমস্ত চুম্বন মহিমান্বিত হয়,
কেন তুমি আমায় চুম্বন দাও না ?
